Step One
Materials & Dyeing
It starts with yarn, tied in tight bindings and dyed by hand in the mudmee tradition. The bindings resist the dye, so the pattern is set into the thread long before weaving begins.
Handwoven in Thailand
Handwoven table linens from a family loom in Suphanburi — every thread dyed, tied and woven by hand, and made for real life at real tables.
SiamLoomHouse begins at a wooden loom in Suphanburi, Thailand, where our family weaving circle has turned thread into cloth by hand — the way it has always been done at home.
Our patterns are mudmee, the Thai ikat tradition: the design is tied into the yarn and dyed before weaving, so the motif lives inside the thread itself and only reveals itself, row by row, on the loom.
No two pieces are ever perfectly alike. The palette is held — the blues, indigos and deep reds of the house — but within it, each weaver leaves her own hand in the cloth.
A controlled palette — the pattern is the weaver’s art.
Four stages, all by hand — from a basket of dyed yarn to cloth ready for your table.
Step One
It starts with yarn, tied in tight bindings and dyed by hand in the mudmee tradition. The bindings resist the dye, so the pattern is set into the thread long before weaving begins.
Step Two
Every warp thread is measured, wound and drawn onto the loom by hand — the quiet, exacting groundwork that decides how true the finished pattern will run.
Step Three
At the wooden loom, the shuttle passes back and forth by hand, one row at a time. Slowly, the dyed threads align — and the diamond motif tied into the yarn weeks earlier emerges in the cloth.
Step Four
Finished cloth is checked piece by piece, then sewn into table runners and placemats. Small variations in the weave are not flaws — they are the signature of the hands that made it.
Our first collection of table runner & placemat sets, in three colourways from the family loom.
Runner & Placemat Set
Light sky-blue with the house diamond motif — soft, calm, and unmistakably handwoven.

Deep indigo diamonds, the richest expression of the mudmee pattern our family is known for.
Coming SoonRunner & Placemat Set
Deep maroon warmed with gold — a colourway woven for long dinners and lamplight.
Coming SoonThe first sets are on the loom now. Each set arrives gift-ready in a handwoven water-hyacinth box. Join the list below and we will write to you the moment they arrive.
Also on the loom — an apron and a tote bag in the same handwoven cloth, made for the kitchen and the market. Coming soon.
The Signature Dining Set as it lives — one handwoven runner down the middle of the table and four matching placemats around it. Three colourways from the family loom, three different moods.
A vivid, sunlit blue with the white diamond motif woven through it. Seen from the end of the table, the runner drapes over the edge and the pattern reads in full — fresh colour for daytime gatherings.
Deep indigo with a fine, close-set diamond pattern. Styled simply here — plain plates, a small vase, plenty of breathing room — for calm, composed, everyday tables.
A deep wine red flecked with small gold motifs, warm in lamplight. Shown around a bowl of apples, oranges and grapes — a table set for a long, generous evening with guests.
Every set leaves Suphanburi in its own handwoven water-hyacinth gift box — nothing left to wrap. It is made to be handed over just as it is: a housewarming gift, a wedding gift, or a thank-you for the host.
The box is woven by hand from water hyacinth, and its natural tones vary slightly from box to box — part of the gift, and a keepsake long after the table is cleared.
True handwoven cloth, finished for everyday use — every piece is washed, softened and pressed before it is packed, so it feels lived-in from the first time you use it.
No studio tricks: this is our Bright Blue cloth, crumpled on purpose and brought back by hand. The same four moves work straight from the laundry, too.
Folded, stored, fresh from the wash — everyday life leaves its creases. That is where we start.
A few good shakes in the air loosen the folds and let the cloth fall open again.
Laid on the table and smoothed down with open palms, it settles ready to set down — no ironing ritual for everyday tables.
Runner down the middle, placemats around it — straight from your hands to guests at the table.
Washed with softener and pressed before packing — soft from the moment it comes out of the box, never stiff.
The cloth softens and takes on a gentle sheen with washing, and the colours mellow slightly over time — the way good denim does.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, separately before first use — a little excess dye may lift in the first water, natural for yarn-dyed handwoven cloth, and the second rinse runs clear. Line dry; do not tumble dry.
Creases shake out by hand, so it goes from the laundry straight to the table — no ironing needed for everyday use, and a cool iron makes it crisp when you want it formal.
Our first collection is on the loom. Leave your email and we will send one message when it launches — nothing more.
Thank you — you’re on the list.
We’ll write to you when the first collection launches. Until then, the looms keep weaving.
